This week i went to edinburgh for my girlfriends birthday. We had a great time and everything was perfect.
I couldn't pass up the opportunity to go to edinburgh zoo for the first not only in so many years but since i found my love for photography. The animals were great and looked amazing. They would come right up to the windows which is great for the photography. The jaguar was a personal favourite because of how powerful it looked.

Constance Moscrop Portfolio Shoot
This weekend i have been shooting for a close friends portfolio. She wanted standard fashion shots but I wanted to add my style and my look to it.
I loved the top with detail around the neck line, it was my favourite piece because of the vintage look.
I used my 175cm octabox high and to the right of the model, this caused perfect amount of light and shadows for the photos.
She is one of the best models I've had the pleasure to work with because she understands what she wants and how to pose herself. The posing she had and brought to the table was second to none and overall looked amazing. I don't really understand why she has waited this long to get a portfolio sorted because of the high standard of modelling she produces.

Beauty Lighting
In a lecture today, we were shown a beauty lighting technique.
This required a boom arm to raise a light above the model to use as a hair light.
The magic arms in front were to push the spill light back into the models face. This creates nice catch lights in the eyes.

Fashion Studio Photoshoot
For these pieces i have decided i need to shoot a lot more in studio based scenarios to get to grips with different lighting. I wanted to also experiment with motion and capturing it through out my shoot. I have been research capturing that one specific moment when everything is just perfect. Then as soon as i started shooting realising that having a good model is key. Bethany was perfect just as soon as the camera was on, she just knew exactly what i was after. It was such a fun shoot to do because of the quality of images i got.

Atlanta Young Band Photoshoot
This was my first Photoshoot in my new studio. I am hiring out a room that a person owns for practise rooms for musicians. The space is ample for what I need! Plenty of room for lighting, my backdrop and space to chill out.
I have known these lads for a while now and they were waiting in me to get this space sorted out. They wanted some promo shots done for their website and posters for their next tour. I knew sort of style they were going for. I already knew they wanted black and white but they were unsure on lighting. I like 45* degree lighting because of the shadow it's creates under the opposite cheekbone.
I am so happy with these shots, especially the standing alone ones.
